Andrepont Printing has been owned and operated by the Andrepont family since 1952. As a part of the printing industry for over a century, the family had taken a great part in newspaper and job printing. Lawrence Andrepont, founder of Andrepont Printing, established a tradition in 1914 when at the age of 16 began his first job working for the newspaper. After working at numerous newspaper print shops, Lawrence retired in 1952 and opened his own business in the garage of his family home.
The company grew sporadically overtime, and eventually became Andrepont Printing, Inc. with Philip Andrepont as President. As a growing company, more changes were made, equipment was updated and new technology was added. The company had outgrown its facility and in May of 1992, opened their doors in their newly remodeled location on I-49 South (it’s current location).
Fify-nine years later Andrepont Printing continues to operate in the tradition set by Lawrence Andrepont. From its humble beginnings in the garage of the Andrepont family home, to the McBride building, to the modern facility it occupies today on I-49, Andrepont Printing, Inc. has played a vital and important role in the development of the Opelousas community.
And the tradition continues...
